Best of luck to Brian Dozier in his retirement. Such a fun and interesting guy. He taught himself guitar & piano from scratch and learned to speak Spanish fluently. And was any ballplayer more skilled in solving a Rubik's cube? https://t.co/T5yEBQXDN5

Words don’t suffice. Like so many people, I loved working with Pedro Gomez at ESPN. He was a great teammate, and every interaction with him made it a better day. Such a loss. We’re all numb over this news. https://t.co/6VyZQTx7On

Mel Antonen will be remembered by his colleagues and peers as someone who was unfailingly upbeat and kind. He always looked for the good in people and the bright side of the story. This business can be cynical at times, and he was a rarity in that respect. Rest in peace, friend. https://t.co/ofXk06la9f

Few players in baseball were more astute or insightful on the art of hitting than Daniel Murphy. In 2018, I interviewed him for a story on left-handed hitters and the challenge of producing against infield shifts. Talk about a craftsman. https://t.co/z31C7vuU0H

After Hank Aaron's death last week, so many people reflected on how sincere, genuine and humble he was. I came across his 1982 Hall of Fame induction speech the other day. It lasted 6 minutes and 40 seconds! The Hammer wasn't one for self-aggrandizement. https://t.co/S34wgnXcuF

We've added @craigjedwards to the team at @MLB_Players. He's a brilliant guy and an insightful writer with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and analytics. He's also a big fan of "Groundhog Day'' -- which is a major plus. https://t.co/6QX6RHy9OU

There are a select few ballplayers who make time stop the moment they enter a room. Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio were that way. So are Willie Mays & Sandy Koufax. Hank Aaron was like that. Such a humble man. Yet his impact on baseball and American history were immeasurable. https://t.co/SeR454jGit

So sorry, Daron. It was always a joy seeing your dad at the park and talking ball with him. His Hall of Fame induction speech was sheer poetry. One of the best I've ever heard. @lifeisgreatsut https://t.co/tK1DOMXHpu

Long before Curt Flood changed baseball and sports by challenging the reserve clause, he drew inspiration from Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights movement. This year, as @MLKDay and Flood's birthday coincide, we look back at the mission they shared. https://t.co/WFaThsRxV4

Tough loss for the #Browns today. But as a fan since the Leroy Kelly-Paul Warfield days, I’ve got no complaints. They played hard every game. And I really have a sense they’re legit. A few smart roster moves, and they’ll be back.

It's almost unimaginable that we've lost Tom Seaver, Lou Brock, Al Kaline, Bob Gibson, Whitey Ford, Joe Morgan and now Phil Niekro in 2020. I know what they meant and symbolized to me as a young baseball fan. We'll all feel the void on the stage at the next HOF induction. https://t.co/D1yx0y6Big

22 years cancer free today! Seems like yesterday sometimes and a lifetime ago at other times. All those that helped me in my treatment forever hold a special place in my heart. Wishing health to all players this upcoming MLB season.

Mickey Rivers stole 267 career bases and endeared himself to fans and media members in New York, California and Texas with a Yogi Berra-like array of malaprops and offbeat commentary. He was a true original. #BlackHistoryMonth https://t.co/tyRh8aoCQd
