Looking forward to some swimming at the #Olympics? 🏊‍♀️ Our Swift satellite measured water spewing from interstellar comet 2I/Borisov as it flew through our solar system. During its trip, it lost enough water to fill over 92 Olympic-size swimming pools! 💦 https://t.co/Tom39q3F78

Right now Chandra is studying a supernova in Reticulum. Nearby in the sky is NGC 1313, a barred spiral galaxy about half the diameter of our Milky Way. This galaxy's messy appearance, the result of patches of intense star formation, earned it the nickname "Topsy-Turvy Galaxy."

When matter is pulled toward a dense, compact object, like a pulsar, neutron star, or black hole, it's heated and produces X-rays. Today Chandra is studying M82 X-2, a pulsar that at its brightest is more than 10 times as bright as any other known pulsars of its type.
