Is there a web3 reincarnation of Usenet newsgroups yet?

If Trump wins the 2024 election, but the NYT publishes reports alleging that Russia hacked the voting machines, would you expect that Democrats will vote to certify the election, or will they instead insist that the results are invalid and that the election requires a do-over?

Ordered another batch of 2021 Christmas tree ornaments from @LuciraHealth. They’re not the cheapest, but I believe they are the best available rapid tests. When we originally funded this company for YC’s winter 2015 batch, they were developing rapid tests for flu and std.

Experimentation and testing always beats speculation and debate. Rapid experimentation and iteration produces rapid learning and progress. This is one reason why it is possible for startups to beat much larger companies (Spacex provides another great example of this principle) https://t.co/BlEN9Pl5z3

Prediction: reduced exposure = milder infection, therefore simple interventions such as masks and improved ventilation reduce both R0 and IFR/CFR. As usual, perfect is the enemy of good enough. All-or-nothing solutions are part of the problem. https://t.co/6tT06jMlHr

If only there were some way to “test” vaccines... Our inability to make intelligent tradeoffs is killing us.

Also the one where a right-wing television personality wins the 2016 election because Internet :) The China bio part didn’t really work out the way I had hoped though... https://t.co/SdUr4v4U0q

This is why Dr. King said "never let a man pull you so low as to hate him." Once you start to hate a person even if he is oppressing you, you have the same pathology infecting the racist. You are bitten by an inferiority complex which you now project through supremacy tendencies.

You're going to see a lot of "Why are these VCs so engaged in the school board?" Because I grew up at times food insecure in the SF Bay Area. It was access to top quality advanced math in public middle and high schools. It was a great strong public school education that made me.

You’ve just set big 2022 targets and the team is pumped. Time to hire a bunch of sales reps right? Wrong. If you don’t want to miss numbers, crush morale, and blow up the team, do exactly one thing first: develop your sales managers. Here’s 8 areas to focus on. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

I was a silly kid trapped in Arizona with middle class wealth. Most of my friends and family humored all this computer stuff. I didn’t go to a prestigious university. This is exactly why so many people are loyal to YC. You never forget who broke you into an industry:

What do people want in a co-founder? Since launching YC's Co-Founder Matching platform 3 months ago, we've seen 33,000 co-founder matches made so far. We now have enough data to identify some interesting trends among our co-founder profiles and matches: https://t.co/EM1cy1rHgE

@michaelmina_lab @CDCgov This image should be burned into everyone's retina. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. This one is worth more! It is the whole argument at-a-glance. I must have referenced it 5 items today alone. https://t.co/IP7hglsukW via @NEJM #openschools #workplacesafety

On 5/29/13 (my birthday!), I filed to incorporate Palo Alto Delivery Inc., later renamed DoorDash Inc. It's mostly not my story to tell. But I'll share a bit today about how it started. My goal is to give aspiring entrepreneurs a window into one founding story.

These videos are phenomenal. When we went through YC in summer 2016, @t_xu was a guest speaker. When @paultoo introduced him as "quite possibly the next Jeff Bezos", I remember being skeptical. By the time Tony finished speaking, I was no longer skeptical. Congrats @t_xu! https://t.co/CWqzUFUMoa

Just a reminder on competition and crowded spaces: By the time DoorDash was founded, GrubHub, Caviar, Postmates, and OrderAhead all existed and were venture funded. Didn’t matter. Today, DoorDash is going public at 4x of those competitors combined validation.

Rapid tests can slow #COVID19 by Xmas! If we act TODAY to get simple paper strip tests made / into the mail: to use at home, frequently, privately, voluntarily Meet the people where they are Read the plan I wrote in @TIME to get America back on track @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris https://t.co/VWvknD1KpM

This is why we must rethink the meaning of sensitivity of #COVID19 tests. We must move away from thinking just about the ability to detect molecules and towards the ability to detect infectious people. The sensitivity of the testing program must be high - not the test. @US_FDA

How did U of Illinois pull off this remarkable accomplishment? 👉 They tried. If every other school & business made the same effort and tried (instead of sitting in ‘learned helplessness’) we’d be in a much better place for *safe* return to school/ work. Act. @OpenCovidScreen https://t.co/wGkiVxmNrw

Great insights on YC Bio companies here. I've worked in the "bio group" this batch and have been extremely impressed (I've also learned a ton). @snowmaker and @urilopatin have done a great job working with these founders. https://t.co/3WmceHC0ST
