“Good Day to You” is her first track playing live bass. “It started with a beat I made on one my favorite keyboards, the OP-1 by Teenage Engineering.
I’m inspired by sounds and mood, and that beat set the tone for the rest of the track.”
Tess was featured on an earlier Sound drop “Rainwater” by @thepark and has worked with another Sound genesis artist, @jesseboykins3rd, on her EP titled “BETTER”.
She’s returning now with her genesis release “Good Day to You”
Tess is known for her classy & soulful blend of RnB lyricism, forward-thinking & organic pop instrumentation, and resonant and emotion-filled vocals.
Clash Magazine describes her sound as “matching old school funk to a future-facing vision of what pop can be”.
